Last updated: 20 May 2026. This page explains how to request deletion of personal data held by VeloCrew when you use our website, admin portal, or mobile worker app.

1. Who can use this process
Company owners / admins — request deletion of your organisation’s VeloCrew workspace and associated data.
Workers — request deletion or correction of your worker profile, attendance, and task history (your employer may also manage this in the admin portal).
End customers — if you received WhatsApp messages or tracking links from a VeloCrew customer, contact that business first; you may also email us if the business does not respond.
2. How to request deletion
Send an email to admin@velocrew.in with the subject line Data deletion request. Include:
Your full name and role (owner, admin, worker, or customer).
Company / workspace name (if known).
Email or phone number used in VeloCrew.
What you want deleted (full account, worker profile only, export before deletion, etc.).
Confirmation that you are authorised to act for the organisation (for owner/admin requests).
We may ask for reasonable identity verification before processing sensitive requests.
3. What we delete
Depending on your request and legal obligations, we may delete or anonymise:
Account credentials and profile (name, email, phone).
Operational records you control (tasks, attendance, GPS logs where stored, chat, documents, invoices you created).
Integration identifiers needed only for your workspace (e.g. WhatsApp messaging metadata tied to your company).
We may retain minimal records where required by law (tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution) or in encrypted backups for a limited period, then purge according to our retention schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Typical timeline
Acknowledgement: within 5 business days.
Completion: usually within 30 days; complex workspace deletions may take longer if export or legal hold applies.
5. Delete data yourself (where available)
Owners / admins: remove workers, customers, and records in the admin portal; cancel subscription under billing settings.
Workers: ask your employer’s admin to deactivate your account; you may still email us for an independent erasure request where applicable law allows.
6. Meta / Facebook and WhatsApp
VeloCrew uses the Meta WhatsApp Cloud API when your organisation enables WhatsApp features (e.g. worker invite codes, schedule alerts, customer review requests). We do not use Facebook Login for VeloCrew sign-in.
WhatsApp messages: message delivery is handled by Meta; your organisation chooses when to send templates. To stop receiving messages, contact the business that employs the technician or reply per that business’s process.
Data in VeloCrew: request deletion using the email process above; we will remove workspace data we store and stop further messaging from your organisation’s integration where applicable.
Facebook app data: if you previously connected a Meta product to VeloCrew and believe we hold Facebook-related identifiers, include that in your email — we will delete matching records in our database.
